Cocoon Spa exemplifies wellness architecture, where design transcends aesthetics to foster emotional and physical well-being. It explores how small-scale interior design can create large-scale emotional impact.

Developed for the TEX Japan Interior Design Competition, this 70-square-meter concept transforms the limitations of space into an opportunity for depth, intimacy, and shared experience. Designed by Vojtek Morsztyn Studio in collaboration with Japanese designer Yuko Ida, the project was awarded first prize for its innovative approach to wellness and social connection.

Inspired by the soft embrace of a cocoon, the interior wraps visitors in warmth, encouraging openness while maintaining a sense of personal retreat. Flexible by design, the space effortlessly shifts between meditation, yoga, conversation, and stillness — adapting to the moment and the people within it.

Every gesture was intentional: layered textures, curved forms, and diffused lighting come together to dissolve tension and invite presence. Cocoon Space is part of our continued study into how architecture and interior design can build community, serenity, and transformation, even within the most compact footprints.
