Unveiling Ukiyo Moon: A Submerged Symphony of Art and Design

It's been an absolute pleasure for me, to collaborate with the designer Claudia Afshar on her latest collection for Cosentino. Last week, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Miami Art & Design Week, she revealed her new collection, Ukiyo Moon, an ethereal underwater experience inspired by the Dekton Ukiyo collection.

In the collaborative venture with Claudia Afshar Design, I played a role in supporting the creative process. Using new AI technology, to envision underwater scenarios that seamlessly aligned with Claudia's visionary collection. By employing this innovative approach, we aimed to bring forth an immersive experience that not only complemented her sophisticated design ethos but also pushed the boundaries of artistic expression beneath the waves.

Ukiyo Moon: A Journey into Serenity

Immersed in the Japanese concept of "ukiyo," meaning the floating world, Ukiyo Moon is a celebration of serene beauty. Picture a moonlit oasis beneath the surface, a frozen moment encapsulating the essence of ukiyo's philosophy—living in the present. The design seamlessly weaves together natural architectural elements and celestial beauty, creating a harmonious blend that transcends the boundaries of art and design.

As you venture into Ukiyo Moon, subtle aquatic textures come alive in the gentle embrace of moonlight. The scene is a surreal dance of elements, evoking a profound sense of beauty that transforms living in the moment into an art form.

Living in the Moment: Ukiyo Philosophy

The Ukiyo philosophy encourages us to appreciate the beauty in the present moment, a sentiment perfectly encapsulated in the design of Ukiyo Moon. It's a testament to the fleeting yet exquisite nature of the floating world, where time stands still, and tranquility reigns.

The underwater experience at City Miami was not just a visual delight but an immersive journey into a realm where art, design, and nature converge. Ukiyo Moon invites you to transcend the ordinary, embracing the ethereal beauty that lies beneath the surface.

A Submerged Collection

In the vibrant ambiance of Miami Art & Design Week, Claudia Afshar unveiled the Ukiyo Moon collection, a testament to the extraordinary potential of the Dekton Ukiyo material. With my contribution to the material presentation, we showcased not just a collection but a statement of sophistication and contemporary design.

This collaboration harmonizes the market's finest material with artistic expression, inviting observers to experience a remarkable blend of timeless elegance and innovation within the heart of this extraordinary collection.
